AMERICAN DREAM
The movie AMERICAN DREAM is a documentary comedy about an everyday man who realizes that his fnancial success and his accumulation of material things are not making him happy.
He decides to sell most of what he owns in order to make a film about the over–consumption and lack of sense of purpose that mark today’s vision of success. Through his journey, we will find out what has happened to the American society and to the original American Dream after the arrival of industrialization, advertisement and mass-consumption. The film combines narrative and documentary storytelling. The narrative ‘reality TV-style’ part of the film reveals the awakening of the main character, with whom the audience is encouraged to relate. The film thus offers a critical view of over-consumptive lifestyles, yet being careful not to alienate the viewers who, like most of us, also live and operate in a consumeristic society.
The documentary side of the film looks at the old ideal of the American Dream, which is based on Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, and how these values have been perverted into a system based on Work, Debt and the Pursuit of Stuff. We interview socially active celebrities such as Danny Glover and Ed Begley, Jr.; thinkers and historians such as Howard Zinn; authors and scientists, such as David Korten and Dr. Richard Davidson; as well as everyday Americans.

Narrated by Danny Glover, the documentary-adventure WalkingThroughWorlds looks at natural medicine throughout the world. It takes the audience on a journey around the globe to some of the most beautiful and remote places on Earth, featuring stories of miraculous healing.
The film is a blend of adventure, documentary and narrative storytelling, including intriguing Shamanic Folklore, funny and entertaining adventure and the investigative side of actual medical case studies that we follow throughout the film.
